Tours
Tours are given every Sunday at 2 p.m. without prior reservation.
Tickets are 2€ (in addition to normal ticket price).
Tours in the Herbs
Tours through the herbal gardens are given every 1st Saturday in the month from April through September at 2 p.m. Please register in advance!



Reserved Tours
Tours are available for groups (maximum 25 people) if advance notice is given. Please indicate interest in particular topics. A group tour costs 40€ per group (in addition to normal ticket prices) and 45€ for foreign language tours (English or French). Tours last 1.5 – 2 hours, but can be shorter by request.
For a small additional fee your group can taste “Most” (a fermented cider), Hohenlohe “Blooz” (a savory or sweet pastry) baked in a wood oven or try your hand at bowling.
Themes for tours include, but are not limited to:
- Women’s life in the past
- Forced laborer’s barrack from Hessental
- Village Life in the late Middle Ages
- Agriculture
- Textiles
- House construction
- Childhood in the past
- Craftspeople
- Social studies
Bird Tours
On Sunday, April 23rd. The tour starts at 9 a.m. and costs 5€.
Bring a pair of binoculars and learn to identify native birds!
Courses for Adults
These courses offer the opportunity to learn about historical skills that once were commonplace and had great importance in daily life, but have now been largely forgotten. Courses are taught by experienced docents. The Hohenlohe Open Air Museum is the perfect location for such courses. Learn the skills of your ancestors! (Pre-registration is required.)
